PROBLEM
In today's dynamic educational landscape, finding the right private tutor tailored to individual needs poses a significant challenge for both students and parents.
Despite the wealth of online resources, Most parents, especially mobile and very busy ones, do not spend enough time with their kids to pay attention to adequately support their educational needs . QuantumLearn Tutor recognizes this pressing issue and endeavors to bridge this gap by offering a seamless platform that effortlessly matches students with expert tutors.

SURVEY TAKEAWAYS
Although I didn't conduct interviews, I spoke to some friends who are students on what it's like for them using tutoring websites and to my understanding, a lot of students preferred YouTube due to the ability to make a decision if they want to further learn from a channel or move to the next. I also found out that when using tutoring websites, users often face difficulty in selecting a suitable tutor, primarily due to the challenges of unfamiliarity or insufficient preview options. Moreover, amidst the overwhelming array of available tutors, users require assistance in identifying the most fitting match tailored to their specific learning requirements.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
There are hundreds of websites on the internet where students can go to find tutors but not a lot of those websites provide the personalized experience students really need. After doing a lot of audits and analysis on some tutoring websites Wyzant, Preply and Tutorme, I was able to find some Opportunities that a website like quantum learn can use or feature in the website like Tutor recommendations, ability to view their tutor in action before booking a session.
I was able to notice some differences between direct competitors like:

From the data collected, I drew an affinity diagram sorting themes and similarities into clusters and categorizing them with matching headers.

After brainstorming a lot of ideas, I made the sitemap of the platform iterating repeatedly on what i'd like on each pages and how they'll be laid out.

After meticulously crafting both paper and digital wireframes, I prioritized user flow, ensuring seamless functionality throughout. Through iterative cycles of feedback and refinement, I opted for a streamlined approach, emphasizing simplicity and ease of navigation. Implementing the recommendation feature and showcasing tutor videos on the homepage emerged as strategic enhancements, empowering users to make informed decisions effortlessly. By integrating these elements, users can effortlessly browse tutors' profiles through engaging videos, facilitating a dynamic and intuitive selection process alongside traditional manual search capabilities.
TESTS AND IMPROVEMENTS
Feedbacks and Iterations
From conducting little usability test, thanks to some friendly volunteers, I was able to get some feedbacks on the design and functionality of the platform.
KEY LEARNINGS

People love predictability - A website users already feel like they can navigate is already a goal achieved.

Easy way is the best way - There are lots of constraints that can hinder users from achieving a goal or task and it’s very important to make that goal easy to achieve

Previewing - Users would like to see what they are getting into first before making a decision they don’t end up regretting

WHAT I LEARNED AND WHAT I'LL HAVE DONE BETTER
Having a trusted companion as students go through their educational journey is crucial and can be a catalyst for growth, empowerment and lifelong learning. This project was an eye opener for me because during my schooling years I never knew how much having a tutor would have helped build my educational journey, maybe I would have loved learning a lot more than I did if I had the right companion. A website or tool like QuantumLearn would be a very effective way to build the future of the next generation as they can be provided with full guidance and help/support they will need throughout their journey. While I am excited to have carried out this project, I still believe there are some things I would have done better but perfections isn't the goal for me, steady improvement is.
